Happy Anniversary, Dear Grandma...
Shauna and I took our sweet Grandma out to lunch on her anniversary--56 years ago! We just love her so much and are so grateful that she is right here in our lives.
Suzy, Suzy, Suzy.....not again!!!
A picture is worth a thousand naughty words.....or something like that....Shauna says Suzy is just being a show-off now and just likes all the attention she gets when she gets to ride around on the big truck. It was way more funny when it didn't sting me to the tune of $125. And that was just for the tow! One thing after another, Suzy Q...you need to knock it off or you won't get to go to college!

Have I mentioned that Shauna has the world's greatest job? She works in a doctor's office in Lafayette and has been there for almost two years. It has been the most wonderful blessing for her! She loves and is loved by the people she works with, and the best part is that she works less than 5 minutes away from her daddy... Lots of peace of mind for the mamma in this family. :)
A sight for sore eyes...
Boy was I happy to see my Torrey home safe and sound from his cross California bike trip last week! They started on the Nevada boarder and ended with their wheels in the water at the California coast...What a HUGE trip! I am so thankful he got home safe and sound...not that I was worried... :) Yay for you, my Sweetest!!!!

How to feel loved on your birthday....
First, the doorbell rings....then you answer it....then you see the cutest family in the entire world standing there...holding THIS beautiful dessert. And it is for you, because it is your birthday and they remembered how much you loved it when you had it several months ago at a ward function. So they remember that...and then they make it with Splenda....so you can eat the entire thing (which you do within 24 hours of receiving it) without going into a diabetic coma....
That is how you feel really, really, really loved.

Because I am a known plant murderer....
I must capture this moment. I LOVE this plant. It is astonishingly and amazingly on it's second year with me. Who knew that could actually happen?! I figured I better get photographic proof of its existence since at any time now it could go through what I like to call "the change of life"... which sounds just a little tiny bit better than "death".

Two little cousins all grown up with babies of their own
Some of our fondest memories (not to mention cutest pictures!) revolve around Shelli and her cousin, Steven, when they were little ones. They were the first babies in our family, born within 6 months of each other, and they were just adorable. We had to recreate those moments now that they each have a baby of their own.
The precious moment we have been waiting for...
Chiara, meet your great Grandma....It was a very precious moment indeed.

Poor Chiara....she is doomed to this type of behavior from her Lowder Grandparents. Some day she will understand that her Grandpa is just a little bit silly. :)
