The star of my blog is leaving....

...so I have been chasing her around taking pictures of her every move. :) Here she is all ready for a date, and looking very much like a COLLEGE GIRL!!!! AGHGHGHGHGHG! I truly, truly hope I can live without this precious girl in my home. I can't even begin to express how much I will miss her JOYFUL presence in my daily life....She is truly one of a kind.

The Three Musketeers

The party is almost over for now, so we have to document this moment in time when these three were all living together under our roof....One of my favorite things in life is the love and adoration that they have for each other, and the absolute BLAST that they have together. Now if we only had Shelli's family here...I can dream, can't I?! :)

Kev's new ride

When you know all your life that you will be responsible to pay for your own college, and you prepare financially and academically for that delightful opportunity....then you just happen to ROCK so much that you get scholarships instead of having to pay your own hard earned money, you can come home from your mission and plunk down the cash for a car instead. :) Way to go, Kevy!!!!!!!! We're so happy for you! ♥

Shauna's new hair style!

Now this is what I have been trying to get her to do for ages....Not that I don't love her hair straight like she always wears it, but I just think that the flowing curly hair is too gorgeous for words on her. :) Thank you, Janell!

Speed dating!

We just happened to look into the speed dating activity when Shauna and her friend were standing close by....Torrey said, "OH! We have to bust her!" so we rushed up to the guy and said all kinds of embarrassing and hilarious things about her to him. :) He thought it was so funny and so I took a speedy picture...of the speed dating. Fun times!

Torrey serving at the Young Single Adult Conference

We helped serve the meals at the Young Single Adult Conference over the weekend. It was held at the Interstake Center in Oakland, and it was amazing! We served over 1700 young adults two highly and efficiently organized meals. This sign was what you held up when you needed someone to bring you more supplies. Torrey was a good little helper. :)

Traffic court with Shauna

I told Shauna that if we lost in traffic court, she had to let me take her picture in front of the court house. So, we lost in court and here she is in front of the courthouse. :) You can't tell from the picture, but we had quite a good time in there. We tend to get the giggles at the worst possible moments, and traffic court was no exception. We were discreet, but still....you aren't even supposed to talk in there, and here we were just dying. The problem was that I had gone out of the court room and asked a nicely dressed man in the lobby if he knew what was going on around here and if we were in the right place. Turns out that the nicely dressed man was OUR police officer, who was there just to make sure we LOST our case that day. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat. It was quite awkward, and that was why Shauna and I started surreptiously giggling. Oh, how I love that girl! Even though I have to go to things like traffic court with her....

The mother of all blisters

So....remember my blog where I posted the picture of Kevin weeding in front of our house? Remember how I mentioned that it kind of made me feel guilty? Well, now imagine how I feel knowing that his 3 hour weeding session resulted in a sunburn that resulted in THIS horrific blister. Merciful heavens.
