Wading through the deer...

...to get to my friend's house this morning! Sorry about the action shot--obviously my camera was unable to deal with it--but I had to capture the fact that despite the fact that I live in an enormous city in the midst of an enormously populated area, I still had to skirt the herd of deer that were standing in my friend's front yard. They were so cute, but when they approached me, I did get a little nervous and shooed them away. Obviously they did not realize or appreciate who they were dealing with. I come from a long line of rabid hunters, who are, even as I type this, scouring the hills and dales of Colorado for this very species. They should have sensed that somehow, shouldn't they??? Guess I'm not very scary....and I'm perfectly okay with that. :)

I am glad wild deer couldn't keep you away! Remember that they scared Dell last week? No need for guard dogs here at the cottage.

Ahhh this is great. My mom has this thing for deer and when she sees one she's always thinking about angels. So for some there is meat for the winter and others signs from heaven. Perspectives-

You must have been going to see Bonnie. We have deer all the time here too and I love it, except when they mow my tulips down every spring!!!

I'd choose the deer over the coyotes, so I guess it was actually my lucky day. :) Way to live in the wilderness, Bon!!! It makes life fun for ALL of us! :)

The coyotes are scared of noise. Just a big scream or clap your hands loudly and they go running! Just in case you meet one on the path someday.

That reminds me of Italy. Remember when we'd watch deer eat out of our neighbor's field all the time? I miss that. I covet Bon's locataion.
