Um... what exactly is being loaded, and where?

Oh, come on, Bruce ... you're a long-time player of the "guess what Mom is really saying" game. You know she means Shauna is being loaded and unloaded from Dad's shoulders by means of that brown stool and that while Mom was taking pictures she was secretly terrified they were going to hurt themselves. You silly. :)

Shelli, Shelli, thou of pure heart and mind. I meant that it looks like Shauna's loading Dad's head into her butt.

Very nice comment, Bryce.

I have to confess that I got a little sniffle-y while thinking about next year, and how she won't be here to hang the lights....Then Dad probably got a little sniffley worrying that he might have to hoist me up there to get them hung. Perhaps we will have to break out the ladder after all. :)

In my defense, I tried to be vague at first, though I guess I could've just refrained from making the comment. But I was laughing much too hard. Maybe someday after I've spent a little more time in the Master's hands I'll be able to resist. :)

Speaking of laughing, you made me laugh right out loud when you said Dad was sniffling because he was going to have to hoist you up there. My word you are a funny woman. :)

I told mom to title it "Shauna poop-a DAD!" in memory of darling little Chandler but she didn't.

Oh Bryce...you are too funny. Shelli, you NAILED what mom was thinking. =]

Nope--for once I was not worried about anyone getting hurt. I am used to this ritual by now! All I could think about was how precious it was to see them like that, and how I'm going to miss it...

*sob*

You were right Bryce. You tried to be subtle, but as always, subtlety has to give way to humor in our family. "It's the only way . . . we can be . . . satisfied."

What Mom didn't say was that Shauna can get just a little whiney about it being cold, or almost falling off, etc. etc. etc. Luckily I'm always very understanding and would never tease or take advantage of her expressing such sentiments.
