My darling daughter asked for my sugar cookie recipe today, so I thought I'd share it far and wide....it's delish!!! :)
Cream 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup shortening
Add 2 beaten eggs, and 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Alternately add 1 TBL. milk and dry ingredients: 2 1/4 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 tsps. baking powder.
Refrigerate 1 hour, roll (thickly) and (underbake) at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

Where is your son serving in Brazil? Mine is in Campinas outside of Sao Paulo. He comes home in August and I can't wait!! I saw your comment on Pam's blog and I would give anything for a sweaty hug too!!
Our son is in the Recife Mission and he is doing just great! He is in love with the work and we get him back in mid July--HOORAY! He missed his two elder siblings weddings while he has been gone, and that was hard for him. They are his best friends, so that stung a little bit. When he gets home he'll have 2 new siblings and a niece!!! How nice of you to comment on my blog--THANKS!! :)
Connie, KitchenDitcher, Debbie is my Sister in Law, you will LOVE her! She is a mary clone!

Anybody who goes by KitchenDitcher is a friend of mine!!! :) Nice to "meet" you Debbie. Thanks for dropping by my silly little blog. :)
